JULY 12, 1999 E.V.I.BUSINESS MEETING

Ed opened the meeting with the Serenity Prayer at 6:36

Reps 34 Total Attending 40+

Treasurer - Frank - Everything is in Quickbooks and is working well. See Frank for corrected statements. We're up and running. Book sales are way up, group contributions are down, see printout. $500.00 for computer reflected in this report.

Office coordinator - Bill - There has been a tremendous amount of changes. Things are coming together well. Office procedure is in a 3 ring binder. A bit of a problem with volunteers being gone during summer. People are really striving to hold the office together. Ed said there were errors in office procedures, so one person was let go. Sold about $200.00 literature at Summerfest.

Literature - Chris for Wendy - We're in good shape for now. If you're interested in being on the committee call Wendy.

Diverter - Johanna - Monday diverter group failed, need a group to take over. Everything else is fine. Updating the 12 step list.

P.I. - Barney - Linda helped with the typing. We need help to deal with getting information into the libraries. And looking for ways to get our ads on radio and T.V. Also looking for help.

C.P.C. - Angel - No report

H & I - Gus - New application pack will be available, the old one will no longer work. The I.T.U. meeting is Thursday at 7:00. Thursday meeting at 4:00, at Heeron. Need help here. Thanks to Deborah B. who rotated out. Christine J. is taking over. H & I meeting on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:00 in the EVI office. Voted to create Bridging the Gap for corrections.

Activities - Linda for Myron - Meeting for the picnic at Lamb's Cottage this Friday at 7:00 p.m. Fliers for the picnic are out. Speakers are set up for the rest of the year.

E.V.I. News - Tim - Would like to have vice-chair to help with the newsletter and to rotate into the chair position.

Speakers Meeting - Terry - No report

Archivist - Linda - Have a new book in the office. Working very hard at getting things categorized. Looking for photos and tapes of Old Timers, (25 years plus), and those who have passed away.

Outreach - Peggy - We have had about four meetings, we need volunteers. If you want to volunteer, go to the EVI office, there are two packets to guide volunteers. Need a small budget. Area D.C.M.'s will help. Would like to get help from the Steering Committee. Meeting Saturdays 10:00 a.m.

By-laws - Micheal - The Steering Committee has gone over the By-laws and has updated them according to current practices. There are copies of the By-laws to take back to the groups to see how the rotation system work. Bring back for a vote next month. May have to change the term "Steering Committee" to "Board of Directors" if needed for state nomenclature.

Steering Committee - Ed - Amended the financial report and worked on the By-laws.

Ad-hoc for Relocation - Dann - There are no serious prospects for unit eight. One solid business prospect for unit number seven. When both units are vacated. We will not run the ad any longer.

Activities and Newsletter chairs will rotate out in December. Need alternate chairs to rotate into the chair positions. Take this to your groups.

Motion made, seconded, and passed for $100.00 yearly budget for Outreach Committee.
